Our thanks go to member Elaine Donovan for suggesting and giving me contact information for the second speaker of the year. We have had several newspaper photographers in past years and the membership has always requested more of them as their programs are extremely interesting and entertaining as we know this one will be also.

Spenser Hasak is an award-winning photojournalist who started his career as a freelance sports photographer for The Daily Item in the fall of 2015. Over the past 10 years, he has held many positions with the paper and is currently the lead staff photographer and creative director. Hasak's program will take listeners behind the scenes of some of his favorite photos -featuring breaking news, portraits, and more, that he's taken over the years, diving into why and how he took each photo.
