Saturday, September 27, 0:00 PM

Join Larry Dunn, MNEC and Bob Pelland, MNEC for this hands-on workshop.

The workshop will go over-
How to size and cut a matte
How to save money by reusing mattes for club competition
How to best present your images for club presentation
How to best present your images for a print exhibition
How to sign your images for a print exhibition

This will be a hands-on workshop. If you want to cut a few mattes or have a few mattes cut to use in this year’s print competition, it is recommended that you stop by an art supply store and get the following-
1. A sheet or two of acid free one eight White foam core board 32x40’ – this will make four 16x20 matte backings.
2. Also buy the same number of white acid free matte board 32x40’ as foam core boards.

The rest of the supplies, acid free tape and photo corners will be furnished.

The workshop will go from 10:00am – 1:00pm to give plenty of time to cover all the topics and cut the mattes. Bring a snack if you choose, we are not breaking for lunch.

The workshop will be limited to 8 attendees due to the number of matte cutters available for use.

This workshop is not posted on the workshop page for sign-ups as it is limited to only 8 people. Larry hopes that members who have an interest in prints and have not competed before try to attend to give them an idea on how and what to do to mount their prints. Attend the workshop and then try your hand at competing in prints.
If you wish to attend you need to email Larry Dunn directly.
