This celebration is planned as an open house from 1pm to 4pm-very casual dress please. Many of you did not know Jake well when he was doing showcases and teaching presentations along with teaching photo basics in the GLPA photo course. Jake was also instrumental in establishing the Building Fund, and a very dear friend to many NE Photographers. He is one of the club’s Honorary Life Member recipients, Past President, Building Fund Director, Nature Group Co-leader and he sat on the BOD for over 35 years. His work on the building fund was a big reason we have a club today.

Even if you did not know Jake, it would be very nice if the membership made an effort to come to the memorial and pay your respects to honor him. He also presented and judged very frequently throughout New England. Jake was very active in photography holding many titles and doing lots and lots of work for Greater Lynn, NECCC and the Photographic Society of America and the Mass Camera Naturalists -CamNats.

It is planned as an open house-casual dress. We are having it partially catered with several hors d’oeuvres, light refreshments and desserts. There will also be coffee, cold drinks and libations - wine and beer available from the bar at no cost should you want. I have notified and invited several clubs who also knew Jake to also join us. Barbara Rozavsky will be showing some images at about 2:30pm and Jakes prints will be on display. We hope some attendees will say a few words about Jake and their remembrance of him.

Come for the afternoon or come and stay 15 minutes, but please come and sign the guest book.

You could always find him in one of the comfy chairs in the back of the hall near the treasurers desk every Monday night.
