This Zoom presentation is coming to us from California. Our speaker gave this presentation as a Photographic Society of America webinar –PSA recently to an audience of over 300. It was seen by one of our members and highly recommended to me.

Join Pete and learn how to get out at night and make your own beautiful and unique Landscape Astrophotographs. Topics will include how to select locations and times that will result in good images; personal safety while in the field after dark; what equipment to use and how to set it up; composition considerations; and some post-production tips. There will be at least one case study tying all this together. If you have ever marveled at the quiet beauty of the night sky, this is your chance to begin – or improve -- making memories of those experiences.

Our speaker has been taking outdoor images for over 15 years. He is a member of PSA and has won numerous awards in PSA International Exhibitions as well as achieving three PSA Portfolio distinction recognitions-Bronze - BPSA; Silver- SPSA, and the highest available, Gold- GPSA.. His Bronze-BPSA portfolio was on his Milky Way images and his article reflecting astrophotography ‘Under the Night Sky”’ was published in the April 2019 issue of the PSA Journal. He is also the author of two eBooks- ‘Your Basic Guide to Traveling and Photographing in Patagonia’ and ‘Under the Night Sky – Your Complete Guide to Landscape Astrophotography’. He enjoys spending his spare time scouting and figuring out new places to take extraordinary night images.
