Model Sessions

(All open to the public)

For the 2023-24 Photography year Greater Lynn Photographic Association will be hosting two model sessions. Boston Camera Club will not be hosting model sessions at GLPA this year. Both sessions will be oprn to other clubs and the public for a small fee. Please note that the new time for the sessions is 10am to 2pm.

We be hosting our first model session on Sunday November 10th from 10am to 2 pm.

The second session will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025 (postponed from February 16th, 2025) from 10am to 2pm.

This event will be free to GLPA members and $15 for non GLPA club members.

For those just starting out or that might like some posing pointers during the sessions, there will be some mentors available to help you improve your portrait skills. We plan to have 6 female models to photograph in portrait and in full length scenarios. Bring a lens in the range of 28 to 70MM for full length and 85 to 150 MM for portraits or a zoom lens ~28 to 135mm.

Every participating photographer is asked to email the models a few good quality images that were taken during the day's session so that the models will have a nice selection of images and return for another shoot. It is very difficult to acquire models for these Model Day events so please SEND IMAGES!

The model’s name and email address will be on the main light stand for each set to aid in identification.

Be sure to join us for a laidback photo shoot where you will be able to photograph each model using three professional lighting set ups.

Thanks
Jim Gallagher and Skip Hoyt, HonNEC, Co-Chairman
and the entire Model and Portrait committee
